Gray Hair, Khaki Flight Suit.

Ghostsmashers.net is a blog about one aging nerd's ongoing obsession with the Ghostbusters franchise. An obsession that has been fully rekindled by my wacky kid, who almost instantly needed to watch any of the movies at least once a day after that first introduction. Now I once again find myself studying photos of proton packs, considering which flight suit I want to wear at Halloween, scouring eBay for toys, and checking forums for any new conversation and news. This blog aims to chronicle some of this new journey in fandom, and organize my thoughts on the franchise that continues to grow.

An Old Ghosthead

A major fan since the late 80s, I've been discussing Ghostbusters online since the late 90s. Checking Bill's board at the school computer lab until we all migrated to Ghostbusters.net and then eventually GBFans.com. You might know me as Spooky, and depending on when and how you met me that might be a good thing or a bad thing. I've been a moderator for forums and chats, had my own fan sites, helped with prop building and discovery where I could, and caused some trouble along the way too.

A little More About Me

My name is Kevin Willingham, I am currently a full time graphic designer and artist in St. Louis, MO. I operate under Rocket Fuel Art & Design where I work with brands on their strategy, brand design, packaging, and a bunch of other stuff. I also love to help bands and other DIY operations make really fun stuff like posters, merch, album covers and whatever they will let me work on. My art and illustration style leans heavily on mid-century modern advertising and cartooning, and I love to bring that inspiration into any work I can. You can out more about Rocket Fuel ( and me) by visiting my design website.
